Im definitely over my watch wearing phase of life. I was however always jealous of the elementary school kids with parents who bought them watches that had mario/etc on them.
On the topic of intentionally retro consoles, Pico is the biggest one ive heard of, for people interested in a limited development environment like an amiga (never had one tho).
Personally im working in c# with unity though, amd its hard to argue any other environment could possibly be easier.

Unfortunately, as a small woman, there's no smart-ish watch that fits on my wrist, so the whole wearable thing passes me by. Hope they do well though.
